Role Overview: The Outreach and Prevention Data Volunteer plays a crucial role in supporting our organization’s efforts to prevent and address community issues. This position is remote, allowing volunteers to contribute from anywhere. As a data enthusiast, you’ll assist in analyzing and categorizing data related to outreach programs, schools, and community trends. Your work will directly impact our prevention initiatives and help us make informed decision Responsibilities: • Data Analysis and Categorization: • Collaborate with the data team to analyze incoming data related to outreach efforts, community programs, and prevention activities. • Categorize data accurately based on predefined criteria. • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data to inform decision-making. • Intake of Data from Schools: • Work closely with schools and educational institutions to collect relevant data. • Develop efficient processes for data intake, ensuring consistency and accuracy. • Maintain clear communication channels with school representatives. • Updating Existing Records: • Regularly review and update existing records in our database. • Ensure data integrity by verifying and correcting any discrepancies. • Collaborate with other team members to keep records up-to-date. • Researching County, City, and Town Trends: • Conduct research on local trends related to outreach, prevention, and community well-being. • Compile data on social, health, and educational indicators. • Present findings in a clear and concise manner. Requirements: • Excel Proficiency: Comfortably navigate Excel spreadsheets, perform data entry, and use basic functions (e.g., sorting, filtering). • Data Analysis Skills: Familiarity with data analysis techniques, including descriptive statistics and visualization. • Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry and thorough record-keeping are essential. • Remote Work Capability: Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely. • Background in Data or Related Fields: While formal education is not mandatory, experience or coursework in data science, statistics, or a related field is advantageous. • Willingness to undergo 4 hours of training provided by the organization.
